Dr. Mindaugas Kuklys worked in the European Centre for Minority Issues. He earned his doctorate at the University of Jena, Germany in 2013 with a thesis on the recruitment and careers of parliamentary elites in the Baltics. Research interests of Mindaugas Kuklys cover ethnic representation, ethnic democracy, mono-ethnic and multi-ethnic political parties. His publications include ethnic representation in the Eastern European and Baltic parliaments, applications of ethnic democracy and ethno-liberal democracy in the recruitment of parliamentary elites in Latvia and Estonia, instigations of separatism in the Baltic states.
